Rest In Peace Na ALDJIA MATOUB
Na Aldjia Matoub, the mother of the Rebel Matoub Lounes assassinated on June 25, 1998, died on Thursday November 5th, 2020 in a hospital in Paris (France), at age of 89 from Corona Virus after battling a long illness.
Born in Taourirt Moussa, in Tizi Ouzou, in 1931, Na Aldjia suffered the loss of her son Lounes Matoub, and did not stop seeking justice for his assassination since June 1998. For more than 22 years, she continued to look for the truth about her son’s murder. Amazigh Community loves Na Aldjia as she was Matoub’s mother and people go to her for comfort and stories about Lounes, and with her death nothing will be the same in Kabylia where she also venerated, like Matoub Lounes, by the population.
She was burried in the backyard of her house in Taourirt Moussa on Sunday November, 2020
May she rest in peace. She will never be forgotten.
